The Opportunity

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual machines in cell location 8541 (Expansion Assembly). This includes ensuring proper tooling and modifying programs as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC and manual machines (lathes), including Puma CNC lathes with FANUC controls.
  • Test parts according to standards and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate documentation.
  • Establish manufacturing methods to ensure parts meet tolerances.
  • Inspect and test machined parts for quality and adherence to blueprints.
  • Recommend and adjust cutting tools based on material.
  • Remove burrs and surface imperfections.
  • Identify parts correctly and maintain records.
  • Communicate shift requirements clearly.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines.
  • Keep work area organized and safe.
  • Ensure continuous flow of materials.
  • Follow all safety standards.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED and at least 2 years of machining experience.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Knowledge of machining mathematics and inspection techniques.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull 60 lbs, and grip with 50 lbs of force.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
