Job summary

Klein Tools in Mansfield, TX is seeking a Machinist/Manufacturing Team Member II to perform basic set-ups, operate CNC milling/grinding, induction, or other semi-automated equipment, and adjust final product to spec.

You will read work orders and blueprints, inspect parts with micrometers and calipers, document downtime, and participate in lean 6S initiatives. The role requires one year of related experience, basic English, and willingness to work Friday–Sunday, 5am–5pm.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand basic English.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and blueprints.
• Basic math and computer skills; perform visual quality inspections.
• Willingness to learn, solve problems, and follow instructions.
• Ability to work as part of a team and in overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Run production jobs on CNC milling/grinding, induction, or other semi-automated equipment.
• Inspect product quality throughout production using micrometers, calipers, gauges and indicators.
• Read work orders and blueprints; verify BOMs and inventory accuracy.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate defects to staff.
• Perform routine set-ups, changeovers, and adjustments to meet specs.
• Log production counts, scrap, and labor hours; complete required paperwork.
• Follow 6S standards and Lean manufacturing practices; cross-train across machines.
