Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Machinist Training & Development Coordinator to design and manage a structured program that moves new and developing machinists from onboarding to demonstrated competency. You will collaborate with Operations, experienced machinists, supervisors, and HR to deliver effective instruction, hands-on practice, coaching, resources, and objective evaluations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC machining experience with operation, setup, tooling, blueprint reading and precision measurement.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into structured training, competency standards and practical evaluations.
• Minimum of two years coaching or developing machinists or manufacturing staff, including organizing training and documenting progress.
• Strong collaboration across machinists, supervisors, technical experts, Operations, and HR.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the training framework, onboarding plans, objectives, and certification requirements.
• Coordinate hands-on training, assessments and certifications to ensure safe, independent production.
• Track progress, gaps, and certification status; update program to evolving business needs.
• Schedule training to align with production needs and communicate milestones to supervision.
