Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Machinist Supervisor - Mid Shift for an aerospace manufacturer. You will lead CNC machinists and machine shop personnel, ensuring production schedules, quality standards, safety expectations, and customer commitments are met.

The successful candidate will oversee daily machining operations, support production scheduling, develop employees, and drive continuous improvement. You will also serve as the primary leader during the transition between second and third shift, ensuring

Qualifications

3+ years in supervisory role in CNC machining or precision manufacturing.
Experience leading CNC machinists and machine shop personnel.
Experience with production scheduling, labor utilization and KPIs.
Strong leadership and coaching skills; effective communication.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily Machine Shop operations and lead CNC machinists.
Ensure schedules, quality requirements, and customer delivery commitments are met.
Promote a safe working environment and ensure policy compliance.
Coach and develop machinists through performance management and training.
Monitor OEE, productivity, scrap, and process improvements.
Coordinate staffing and workflow to optimize efficiency.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning and Supply Chain.
Support new product introductions and tooling implementations.
Drive Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement initiatives.
