Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Machinist Supervisor for the Mid Shift. The role leads CNC machinists and machine shop personnel, ensuring production goals, quality, safety, and on-time delivery. You will guide daily machining operations, support scheduling, and drive continuous improvement across the shop.

The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing leadership experience in aerospace or precision settings, with a track record of improving throughput and mentoring team members.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in CNC machining or precision manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining operations and machine shop processes.
  • Experience supervising machinists, CNC operators, or precision manufacturing personnel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Experience managing production schedules, labor utilization, and manufacturing KPIs.
  • Working knowledge of blueprint interpretation, machining processes, tooling, and workflows.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead daily operations in the Machine Shop, directing CNC machinists and shop personnel.
  • Ensure machining operations meet production schedules, quality requirements, and customer commitments.
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop machinists through performance management and training.
  • Monitor machine utilization, productivity, scrap, quality, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Coordinate staffing, labor allocation, and workflow to optimize shop efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Supply Chain to resolve production issues.

The successful candidate will oversee daily machining operations, support production scheduling, develop employees, and drive continuous improvement throughout the machine shop. This individual will serve as the primary leader during the transition between second and third shift, ensuring effective communication, operational continuity, and efficient workflow across machining operati

  • * Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, and increase effi
  • ciency.
  • * Ensure proper shift communication and seamless transition between second and third shift oper
  • ations.
  • * Maintain accurate production reporting and performance m

Required Qualifi

  • * Experience working closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams to improve machining processes and reduce cyc

Education:- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or another technical discipline
