Job summary

ContractStaffingRecruiters.com is seeking a manufacturing helper/operator to read drawings, G-code, and CNC screens, and to set up tools while machines run. The role requires familiarity with materials and machining properties, plus the ability to lift heavy material and support multiple machines.

You will maintain cleanliness of the work area, collaborate on shift handoffs, and report unusual sounds to the Foreman. A strong team player with practical machining knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read drawings, blueprints and CNC screens.
• Familiarity with raw materials and their machining properties.
• Lift heavy material.
• Read G-code and differentiate cutting tools.

Responsibilities

• Clean and calibrate inspection instruments.
• Clean and organize the workbench.
• Before shift change clean and organize the work center for the incoming shift.
• Coordinate job handoff to next shift.
• Keep the machine exterior and work center clean and orderly.
• Prepare jobs in advance, set up tools while the machine is running.
• Work as a team to run multiple machines at one time.
• Help coworkers set tools and prepare material as time permits.
• Maintain vigilance for unusual and unexpected sounds from machinery. Report instances to the Foreman.
