Quality Tool Inc. in Brookings, SD is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set-up and operate a variety of VMCs, HMCs, and Lathes. This full-time role offers growth opportunities within a progressive contract manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of CNC machining and set-up experience, proficient inspection skills with calipers, micrometers, GD&T knowledge, and the ability to work independently or in a team while handling overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Two+ years minimum CNC Machining and Set-up experience.
• Experience inspecting parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Familiar with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment, setting up, and operating CNC equipment.
• Good attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate machine tools to include Haas, Makino, Miyano, Nakamura, and others, determining speeds & feeds with the ability to align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments & accessories.
• Sequence automatic machine operations and define setup requirements, select cutting tools, and program proper feeds and speeds to successfully machine parts.
• Identify optimal manufacturing processes based on part configuration and batch size
• Inspect work, making necessary notations on work routers.
• The nature of the work is a mix of small to medium quantity runs with frequent set-ups.
