Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform work order activities according to production process procedures.
- Conduct daily equipment maintenance, including lubrication, fluid checks, chip handling, and scrap removal.
- Load and verify programs through DNC, USB, interfaces, etc.
- Set up, operate, and dismantle CNC and ancillary equipment, including bar feeders, tool setups, collet changes, and touch-offs.
- Execute CNC cycle starts and stops accurately and efficiently.
- Perform single-step procedures through CNC programs.
- Change tools at predetermined intervals accurately and efficiently.
- Load materials into CNCs, VMCs, bar feeders, and other equipment.
- Efficiently dismantle previous setups, removing unnecessary items.
- Perform edge-breaking and deburring as required.
- Verify proper tools and inserts for CNC operations.
- Read and interpret production prints, use measuring devices, and perform quality checks.
- Gather and measure parts produced by CNC operations.
- Report malfunctions such as equipment failures and damage.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Technical/Mechanical coursework in CNC machining, including setup
- 1 to 2 years of manufacturing experience
- Skill in operating CNC machinery
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring devices like calipers and micrometers
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations and reasoning
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Diplomacy and tact in dealing with others
- Ability to follow production and quality procedures
