Job summary

Axis Automation seeks a CNC Programmer / Machinist to perform programming and setup on Haas CNC vertical mills. You will coordinate machining work across several projects, operate multiple machines, and ensure quality and efficiency from job start to finish.

The role requires 3–10 years CNC experience, MasterCam 2D/3D proficiency, and a high school diploma. Work schedule is 10 hours per day, Monday–Friday, with overtime and hourly pay between $25 and $32.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MasterCam 2D & 3D or equivalent.
• 3-10 year minimum CNC experience.
• 1-3 years minimum programming experience 2D & 3D.
• Willingness to work up to 48 hours per week on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure machining tasks are executed efficiently regarding time, cost and function.
• Maintain internal quality checks prior to release/shipment.
• Coordinate with Machining Manager on schedules and labor requirements.
• Adhere to drawings, customer specs and manuals as necessary.
• Champion company policies and safety procedures.

Job description

Position Title:

CNC Programmer / Machinist The standard schedule comprises ten hours per day with 8 hours on Friday and 48 hours per week. Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00am-4:30pm, with overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40hrs/week.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for execution of multiple projects and coordination of machining activities
• Ability to produce programs for the CNC machines
• Running multiple CNC machines simultaneously
• Must be a self-starter with minimal need for supervision
• Must be team oriented
• Ensure machining tasks are executed in the most effective manner regarding time, cost and function.
• Ensure internal quality checks are conducted prior to release and/or shipment.
• Coordinate with Machining Manager to follow work schedules and labor requirements for assigned jobs.
• Coordinates work requirements utilizing drawings, customer specifications and manuals as necessary.
• Champions company policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with safety procedures and practices good housekeeping.
• Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of equipment
• All other duties as assigned.

Pay Scale:

$25-$32/hour + overtime pay for hours worked over 40hrs/wk.
