Job summary

Axis Automation in Michigan is seeking a CNC Programmer / Machinist to join our manufacturing team. You will run multiple CNC machines, program Haas vertical mills, and coordinate with the Machining Manager to meet schedules and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 3–10 years of CNC experience, 1–3 years programming in 2D/3D (MasterCam preferred), and a high school diploma or equivalent. Schedule is Mon–Fri 6:00am–4:30pm with overtime and hourly pay $25–$32.

Qualifications

• Specific experience with Haas CNC vertical milling machines.
• Proficient in MasterCam 2D & 3D or equivalent and 3–10 years CNC experience.
• 1–3 years minimum programming experience in 2D & 3D; lathe work a plus.
• Willingness to work up to 48 hours per week; high school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Execute multiple projects and coordinate machining activities.
• Produce programs for CNC machines and run multiple machines simultaneously.
• Self-starter, team oriented, and ensure tasks meet time, cost, and function goals.
• Conduct internal quality checks prior to release or shipment; follow schedules.
• Coordinate with Machining Manager to align labor requirements and work plans.

Position Title: CNC Programmer / Machinist The standard schedule comprises ten hours per day with 8 hours on Friday and 48 hours per week. Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00am-4:30pm, with overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40hrs/week.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for execution of multiple projects and coordination of machining activities
• Ability to produce programs for the CNC machines
• Running multiple CNC machines simultaneously
• Must be a self-starter with minimal need for supervision
• Must be team oriented
• Ensure machining tasks are executed in the most effective manner regarding time, cost and function.
• Ensure internal quality checks are conducted prior to release and/or shipment.
• Coordinate with Machining Manager to follow work schedules and labor requirements for assigned jobs.
• Coordinates work requirements utilizing drawings, customer specifications and manuals as necessary.
• Champions company policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with safety procedures and practices good housekeeping.
• Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of equipment
• All other duties as assigned.

Pay Scale: $25-$32/hour + overtime pay for hours worked over 40hrs/wk.
