Job summary

Precision Manufacturing, a division of Wald Manufacturing, in Brooten, MN, seeks an experienced CNC machinist to join our team. The role includes programming, setting up, and operating 3-axis vertical mills and a CNC lathe with mill-turn capabilities. Haas and Fanuc controls are used; Inventor CAM for programming.

Qualifications

• Understanding CNC machining, setups, tooling, work offsets, and part inspection.
• Comfort reading, editing, and troubleshooting G-code at the machine when needed.
• Experience with Haas or Fanuc controls and Inventor CAM preferred, training available.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate 3-axis vertical milling machines and CNC lathe with mill-turn capabilities.
• Read and interpret blueprints and tolerances; ensure part accuracy.
• Identify and implement improvements to machining quality and efficiency.

Our equipment uses Haas and Fanuc controls, with most programming completed through Autodesk Inventor CAM.Applicants should understand CNC machining, setups, tooling, work offsets, and part inspection. They should also be comfortable reading, editing, and troubleshooting G-code at the machine when needed. Experience with Haas or Fanuc controls and Inventor CAM is preferred, but we are willing to train the right machinist on our equipment and software.We manufacture a wide variety of parts and complete equipment, so this is not strictly a button-pushing production position.
