Job summary

Jobot is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our busy manufacturing team in Minnesota. This role sets up and runs CNC mills, lathes or machining centers to produce precision parts, reading blueprints and specs to hold tight tolerances.

You will edit programs, troubleshoot on the floor, and maintain safe, organized work areas. The position offers a competitive $25-$38/hour with a $1.25 shift premium for 2nd or 3rd shift and typical 45-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills including calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Hands-on experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Haas, Mazak or similar.
• Technical training or certification in machining or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes or machining centers to produce parts to specification.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and work orders to plan machining sequence and tooling.
• Select, install and adjust tooling and fixtures for each job.
• Inspect finished parts with precision measuring instruments to confirm tolerance.
• Edit or adjust programs at the machine to correct issues and improve cycle time.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Document production and quality data for each job run.
