CNC Machinist / Programmer

Hopkinton, MA → Shrewsbury, MA (Aug 2025)
Full-Time | 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | Overtime Available
$22–$60/hr (Based on experience level)
$3,000 Sign-On Bonus

PI (Physik Instrumente) is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our advanced manufacturing team. This is a low-volume, high-precision environment building motion and automation systems used in aerospace, photonics, semiconductors, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Program using Mastercam
• Set up and operate Haas CNC mills & lathes
• Run 3- and 4-axis milling and live-tooling lathes
• Read blueprints, apply GD&T, and inspect to tight tolerances
• Edit and optimize programs, troubleshoot independently
• Take parts from print to part in a clean, team-oriented environment

Qualifications:

• Proven CNC programming and machining experience (Mastercam preferred)
• Experience with tight tolerances and precision setups
• Ability to read blueprints and use inspection tools
• Technical school/apprenticeship background preferred
• Strong understanding of G-code, MDI, and GD&T

Pay Ranges by Level:

• Level 1: $22–$32/hr
• Level 2: $28–$38/hr
• Level 3: $34–$45/hr
• Level 4: $40–$60/hr
