Merrimac Tool Company in Amesbury, MA is seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer for a full-time position with overtime. You will own your parts from start to finish, selecting tooling, running first articles, inspecting, and making adjustments to meet dimensional requirements.

Responsibilities include setting up programs, proving out runs for new and repeat jobs, developing fixtures, producing quality work efficiently, and maintaining records.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years minimum experience.
• Experience in setup and operation of vertical CNC milling machines, including 4-axis.
• Proficiency with handheld measurement tools: calipers, micrometers, gauges
• Understanding of production, machining, and inspection procedures
• Strong understanding of standard tolerancing and GD&T, ability to read prints
• Ability to work both individually as well as on a team

Responsabilidades

• Own parts from start to finish: select tooling, run first article, inspect, and adjust to meet dimensional requirements.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations
• Select correct programs, set up tools, prove out runs for new and repeat jobs
• Develop fixtures and work-holding for machining unique components
• Produce an adequate volume of work in an efficient, timely manner
• Multitasking
• Deburring
• Perform other duties: updating records, basic machine maintenance, troubleshooting production issues
