Job summary

Pexco in Tacoma, WA is seeking a skilled Machinist to operate, program, and maintain CNC machinery. You will interpret blueprints, set up tools, and ensure safety and quality in a busy machine shop.

The role requires CNC lathe (2-4 axis) experience and CAM software proficiency, with a strong focus on problem solving and teamwork. Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm, compensation is $26.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements, tolerances, and dimensions.
• Program CNC machines using CAM software, making necessary adjustments to cutting speeds, feeds, and tool paths.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration tasks on CNC equipment to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery and handling hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements, tolerances, and dimensions.
• Program CNC machines using CAM software, adjusting speeds, feeds, and tool paths.
• Maintain a safe, efficient machine shop environment and calibrate CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with team members to resolve problems.
