Job summary

OPW, a manufacturing unit within Dover, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in Illinois. The role involves loading, tending runs of parts, and performing one-step operations on individual pieces.

You will read blueprints, verify tolerances, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AAR M-1003 standards. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of CNC experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to adjust tooling and perform simple part inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years direct CNC experience or formal CNC training from accredited program plus 1+ years post training.
• Experience reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Load, tend runs of parts and perform one-step operations.
• Position and secure tools in holding devices and fixtures.
• Read blueprints and job orders for specifications, tolerances and tooling.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions and adjust controls.
• Perform simple inspection using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Adhere to ISO 9001:2015 and AAR M-1003 quality standards.
• Participate in defining quality objective strategies and team reviews.
