Job summary

ManpowerGroup in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Machinist to join our production team, supporting fabrication of components used in hydraulic systems. You will operate CNC and manual machines, read mechanical drawings, perform basic calculations, and use calipers, gauges, and micrometers to verify work.

The role requires safety diligence, reliability for overtime/weekends, and collaboration with teammates to maintain a clean, organized workspace and meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in a production environment preferred.
• Programming experience preferred.
• Basic math including fractions and basic calculations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand long periods, and perform repetitive motion; overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CNC machine to fabricate tubes, rods, and components.
• Operate manual machines for fabrication as needed.
• Read mechanical drawings and perform necessary calculations.
• Use quality control tools to verify work (calipers, gauges, micrometers).
• Follow safety procedures and maintain Five S standards; report unsafe conditions.
