Job summary

Vactor Mfg. Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator to run mills and lathes, develop and revise CNC programs, and set up multiple machines for production. You will inspect finished parts, ensure accuracy, and maintain a clean, safe work area in a fast-paced shop.

Requirements include at least 2 years CNC experience and the ability to read blueprints. Some overtime may be required, and relocation is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CNC machine operation experience.
• Able to read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to operate and set up multiple machines.
• Willingness to learn CNC programming software.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machining centers such as mills and lathes.
• Make and revise CNC programs for production runs.
• Perform machine set-ups and tool changes as required.
• Inspect own work with calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Provide overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
• Use fixtures to produce parts and run deburring equipment.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and assist maintenance.
• Learn drilling, reaming, tapping, milling, boring and turning processes.
