Federal Signal Corporation, located in Streator, IL, is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate CNC centers and conventional machines. The role requires reading blueprints, performing setups, and learning CNC programming with minimal supervision.

Must have at least 2 years of CNC experience and be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including prolonged postures. Overtime may be required, and relocation is not offered.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2 years CNC operation experience.
• Able to operate engine lathe, Bridgeport, turret lathe, radial drill press.
• Able to learn CNC programming software.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in prolonged postures (bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, standing, and squatting).

Aufgaben

• Operate CNC machining centers, such as mills and lathes.
• Make and revise CNC programs.
• Perform set-ups on all machines.
• Learn processes such as drilling, reaming, tapping, milling, boring and turning.
• Inspect own work using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot as needed.
• Run deburring equipment.
• Use fixtures to produce parts.
• Maintain a clean, safe workplace.
• Overtime as needed.
