Job summary

American StaffCorp seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes. You will read drawings, load tools, monitor quality, and perform dimensional checks with precision.

The role requires basic English, attention to detail, good math skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced plant environment. Overtime and shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CNC operator/machinist diploma or certification preferred.
• 0–2 years manufacturing experience operating CNC mills or lathes; prior military experience or technical certification/degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills or lathes according to drawings and work instructions.
• Load and unload product and fixtures on assigned CNC machine.
• Perform machining operations and verify dimensions via standard measuring equipment.
• Carry out in-process inspections to ensure quality; report nonconforming parts.
• Maintain machine by daily preventive maintenance and monitor oil and coolant levels.
• Keep a clean, organized 6S workplace and communicate first piece acceptance outcomes.
