Staffmark is hiring a CNC Machinist in Sun Valley, CA to program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes for high-quality, precision parts.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of CNC experience, blueprint reading ability, and proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers). Pay ranges from $24.00 to $35.00 per hour with 1st or 2nd shift options.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC machinist/operator or setup experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specs, and work instructions.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce high-quality parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and production instructions to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Load raw materials, perform tool changes, adjust offsets, and make basic setup corrections.
• Inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality.
• Monitor machine performance, address issues, and maintain safe, compliant operations.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and in line with safety procedures.
