Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical certificate preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with CNC controls and machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Program, set-up and operate CNC boring bars, mills, lathes and grinders.
• Study blueprints and specs to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Create and edit CNC programs; perform dry runs and debugging.
• Select and secure fixtures, tools and materials; set feeds and speeds.
• Observe machines to detect malfunctions and ensure conformance to specs.
• Rectify tooling problems and machine malfunctions under supervision.
