Job summary

Phillips-Medisize, a Molex company, is seeking a CNC Machinist at our Menomonie, Wisconsin facility. You will program, set up, troubleshoot, and operate CNC equipment to manufacture tooling components per drawings, with a goal of unattended operation where possible.

The role requires a two-year degree in machine tooling, 1 year with MasterCam/SolidWorks, 3 years CNC programming/operation, and basic injection mold knowledge. A commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in machine tooling or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience utilizing MasterCam / SolidWorks.
• Minimum 3 years experience with programming and operation of CNC.
• Experience and basic understanding of injection mold manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC equipment.
• Programming of the CNC equipment using CAD/CAM software.
• Maintain tools so they stay in correct working order.
• Schedule all work flowing through the work center, or making alterations, if needed.
• Perform advanced machining practices on toolroom equipment.
• Assist with machine assembly as appropriate.
• Manufacture tooling components per drawings or verbal instruction from mold manufacturer.
• Develop the work center to operate unattended where possible.
• Meet all established goals set for machine center.
• Conduct quality checks to confirm accuracy of components.
• Follow the schedule of all work flowing through the area of responsibility.

• Influence and promote a healthy safety culture.
• Actively participate in continual improvement/innovation, corrective action and internal/external customer satisfaction.
