Job summary

Jobot Consulting in Hampton, VA is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for 1st or 2nd shifts. You will set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components per blueprints, ensuring tight tolerances and quality standards.

Read engineering drawings, interpret specifications, and perform in-process inspection with micrometers and calipers. Collaborate with programmers and engineers to meet production goals while adhering to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years with CNC mills or lathes.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering specs.
• Experience with G-code and precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other equipment.
• Read blueprints and specs to ensure part accuracy.
• Monitor processes to maintain tight tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspections with micrometers and calipers.
• Troubleshoot tooling and fixturing to minimize downtime.
• Maintain clean, organized workspace and comply with safety standards.
• Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and machinists to meet production goals.
