Job summary

Axelon Services, Corp is seeking a skilled machinist in Glenolden, PA to set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, interpret GD&T blueprints, and edit G-code programs. The role requires strong tooling and measurement skills, plus the ability to train other operators in the value stream.

The position is onsite with a Tuesday–Saturday or Monday–Friday schedule as listed, and proximity within 50 miles of Glenolden is required. ITAR compliance and basic CAD/drafting knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a machinist or tool maker.
• Must reside within 50 miles of Glenolden, PA.
• U.S. person under ITAR (Citizen, PR, Asylee, or Refugee).

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints per ANSI/ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) standards.
• Set up and run CNC lathes (3- and 4.5-axis) and CNC mills (4- and 5-axis).
• Interpret and edit G-code NC programs.
• Operate manual machine tools and sharpen cutting tools.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineering with troubleshooting and process development.
• Train others on machines and processes.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement for safety, quality, and efficiency.

Pay Rate: $30.48 per hour
Location: Glenolden, PA
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday: 2:00 pm to 11:15 pm

Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints per ANSI/ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) standards
• Set up and run CNC lathes (3- and 4.5-axis) and CNC mills (4- and 5-axis) in production environments
• Interpret and edit G-code NC programs
• Operate manual machine tools (drill press, saws, shears, presses)
• Operate manual lathes and mills; sharpen cutting tools
• Assist Manufacturing Engineering with troubleshooting, process development, and tool identification
• Train others on machines and processes within the value stream
• Identify and implement continuous improvement for safety, quality, and efficiency

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a machinist or tool maker
• Must reside within 50 miles of Glenolden
• Must be a U.S. person under ITAR (Citizen, Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience or education in CAD/drafting
• CNC programming experience (MasterCAM)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a machinist or tool maker

Specialized Knowledge:

• Proficiency in trigonometry
• Tool sharpening (boring bars, drills, tree pan tools)
• Ability to run most turning and milling equipment
• Strong blueprint reading and inspection skills, including CMM
• Basic computer skills

Additional Information:

• PPE required: safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves as needed
