Job summary

Mill Creek Machining is hiring a CNC Machinist in Spencer, IA. You will operate Doosan, Takamaz, and Mazak lathes to produce quality parts, with pay starting at $20+ per hour plus a $3 differential.

A weekly $44 attendance bonus is added when all scheduled hours are worked, and the shop is 100% climate controlled. Qualified candidates have at least a high school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify cycle times and report discrepancies.
• Check gauging against standards and note inspection sheets.
• Ensure safety devices are in place and functioning.
• Inspect machine and work area for order and operation.
• Operate machinery following safe, accepted practices.
• Perform routine offsets and assess insert changes as needed.
• Change fixtures and tooling as directed by crew chief.
• Assist in set ups and preparations as directed.
• Carry out trainee duties and tasks assigned by supervision.

Position Summary

Mill Creek Machining (MCM) is seeking a CNC Machinist for our Spencer, IAlocation. The CNC Machinist is responsible for quality parts produced on our Doosan, Takamaz, and Mazak lathes. The pay range for this role starts at $20+/hr. depending on experience plus a $3.00 differential. A weekly attendance bonus of $44.00 per week will be added to each pay period when all scheduled hours are worked*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Verifies cycle times on all jobs and reports discrepancies to his/hercrew chief and annotates on traveler.
• Verifies/setsgauging against known standards and ensures gauging is correct per inspection sheet.
• Knows and ensures all safety devices are in place and working properly.
• Inspects machine and work area in general for proper order and operation.
• Operates machinery according to acceptable and safe practice.
• Makes routine offsets andable to ascertain the need for changing inserts and capable of doing so as needed.
• Able to change work holding fixtures and tooling as instructed by crew chief.
• Assists in the preparation and execution of set ups as directed by machinist or crew chief.
• Competent in all the duties of a trainee and performs all tasks as assigned by supervision/management.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
