Job summary

Mill Creek Machining in Spencer, IA is seeking CNC Machinists of all levels for a night shift role in a climate-controlled shop. Pay ranges from $20 to $25 per hour, DOE, with a weekly attendance bonus and substantial shift differential.

Essential duties include reading blueprints, measuring parts to spec, adjusting machines, and collaborating with quality and engineering teams to maintain tolerances and efficiency. A high school diploma and 1+ years of related experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor machine performance and identify out-of-tolerance conditions and verify cycle times on all jobs.
• Utilize precision measuring tools to verify part conformance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
• Make machine adjustments within operating capabilities to maintain quality standards.
• Produce quality parts while maintaining close tolerances and maximum efficiency.
• Inspect machine and work area in general for proper order and operation.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, production control, and shop personnel to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Makes routine offsets andable to ascertain the need for changing inserts and capable of doing so as needed.
• Able to change work holding fixtures and tooling as instructed by crew chief.
• Assist with troubleshooting machining processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Competent in all the duties of a trainee and performs all tasks assigned by supervision/management.

Mill Creek Machining is seeking all levels of CNC Machinists to join their team in Spencer, IA. Substantial shift differential included with night shift.
CNC Machinist Location: Spencer, IA
Hours: Nightshift: Monday – Thursday 4:50 PM – 2:50 AM
Pay: $20-$25 DOE
A weekly attendance bonus will be added to each pay period when all scheduled hours are worked*

*Our machine shop is 100% climate controlled*

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

• Blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) skills
