Mill Creek Machiningis seeking all levels of CNC Machinists to join their team in Paullina & Spencer, IA. Substantial shift differential included with night shift.

CNC Machinist Location:Paullina & Spencer, IA
Hours:Dayshift: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Nightshift: Monday – Thursday 4:50 PM – 2:50 AM
Pay:$20-$25 DOE

A weekly attendance bonus will be added to each pay period when all scheduled hours are worked*

*Our machine shop is 100% climate controlled*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor machine performance and identify out-of-tolerance conditions and verify cycle times on all jobs
• Utilize precision measuring tools to verify part conformance
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, and work instructions
• Make machine adjustments within operating capabilities to maintain quality standards
• Produce quality parts while maintaining close tolerances and maximum efficiency
• Inspect machine and work area in general for proper order and operation.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, production control, and shop personnel to resolve manufacturing issues
• Makes routine offsets andable to ascertain the need for changing inserts and capable of doing so as needed.
• Able to change work holding fixtures and tooling as instructed by crew chief.
• Assist with troubleshooting machining processes and continuous improvement initiatives
• Competent in all the duties of a trainee and performs all tasks assigned by supervision/management.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable attendance and willingness to learn
