We are located at 500 Conroe Park West Dr, Conroe, TX 77303.

What Do We Do Here?

Our Conroe Facility produces downhole products for drilling activities in North America. Our plant has high demand and is operating 24/7 to produce these products for our customers. To meet the demand for our products, we provide employees with an air-conditioned environment, highly organized and clean 300,000 SQ. ft. fabrication facility, new CNC Machines (Mazak, Mori Sieke, DMG Mori, Weiler, etc.), and a strong safety program designed to ensure our team goes home safe to their families after every shift.

What’s the Job Like?

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
  • Identify problems before production runs; start and observe machine operation to detect any other malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust machine controls or control media as required.
  • Prove out new programs and make simple edits of NC programs on at least one or more numerically controlled machines.
  • Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences.
  • Review program specifications or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished workpiece dimensions, or numerical control sequences.
  • Read, interpret and understand information in work order, Bill of Materials and other related documentation inside the job packet.
  • Perform inspection of raw material or verify part serial number before machining.
  • Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration, and adjust machines to compensate for problems.
  • Remove and replace dull cutting tools.
  • Monitor machine operation and control panel displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions.
  • Enter commands or load control media, such as cards, disks, or flash drives into machine controllers to retrieve programmed instructions.
  • Perform set-up changes and first article inspections on production runs utilizing CNC Machines.
  • Maintain NOV guidelines on safety, quality, and delivery.
  • Clean work areas as necessary to maintain cleanliness, health, and safety standards.
  • All other reasonable tasks assigned with the goal of helping the team, operations, or the facility overall.

Who’s Going to be Successful in this Job?

Individuals who can demonstrate the following:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ yrs. knowledge of standard safety and manufacturing processes preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a machine shop/manufacturing facility is preferred
  • Experience with reading part drawings/blueprints is preferred
  • Familiarity with measurement tools is preferred
  • Computer experience is preferred
