Job summary

Saint‑Gobain/CertainTeed is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines, read blueprints, and inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications. The role requires experience with multiple machine types and a strong focus on quality and safety.

You will review orders, secure materials, and maintain records while working to production schedules to deliver high-quality components on time at Saint‑Gobain/CertainTeed.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge of set up and operations of CNC machines and editing CNC programs.
• Experience programming and operating the Multus is required.
• Knowledge of operating Doosan, Haas, Hardinge, Captain and LB4000 machines desired.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, charts and blueprints and use shop math and measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Read and review customer order instructions and blueprint specifications.
• Secure necessary raw materials, fixtures, punches, tools, gauges, etc. for the job.
• Set up and operate CNC machines, making machine adjustments to produce required results.
• Perform own inspections (visual, optical, micrometer, verniers, indicator, etc.).
• Process parts as needed, including samples.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools common to the trade.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of processes, materials and results.
• Assure tools and machines are maintained in clean and proper condition for usage.
• Follow all safety procedures, including wearing of required protective equipment.
