Job summary

Jobot in Agawam, MA is seeking CNC Machinists for multiple openings across all shifts. Earn $24-$45 per hour, with a 20% premium for second shift and comprehensive benefits in a permanent, on-site role.

Responsibilities include operating CNC milling centers, setting up machines, tooling, fixtures, and offsets; plus first-piece and in-process inspections and continuous process improvements with Engineering and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Foundational CNC machining experience or relevant technical training.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC milling equipment.
• Advanced CNC milling setup and troubleshooting; GD&T, inspection, tooling and workholding.

• Operate CNC milling equipment to produce parts per drawings and work instructions.
• Set up machines, install tooling/fixtures, establish offsets.
• Monitor production and adjust offsets for dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Identify and troubleshoot tool wear, dimensional variation, and machining issues.
• Make CNC program edits appropriate to your skill level.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Maintain accurate production records and a clean, safe work area.
• At advanced levels, support complex setups, process improvements, and training for other machinists.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

Level I

• Foundational CNC machining experience or relevant technical training.
• Basic blueprint reading and precision measurement skills.
• Understanding of machine operation and willingness to develop setup skills.

Level II

• Experience setting up and operating CNC milling equipment.
• Ability to adjust tooling and offsets and troubleshoot routine machining problems.
• Working knowledge of CNC programs, cutting tools, speeds, and feeds.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.

Level III

• Advanced CNC milling setup and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, precision inspection, tooling, and workholding.
• Ability to independently handle complex setups and machining challenges.
• Experience improving processes and assisting less experienced machinists.
