Job summary

Jobot in Winsted, CT is seeking a CNC Machinist for a 3pm–11pm shift to produce aerospace-grade components with tight tolerances. You will set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills, read complex blueprints, and optimize tooling and parameters.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of CNC experience in precision manufacturing, including aerospace, and familiarity with Fanuc/Haas/Okuma controls. Day 1 benefits, strong growth paths, and a collaborative team environment await.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; machining certificate a plus.
• Minimum 3+ years of CNC machining experience in precision manufacturing or aerospace environments.
• Strong experience operating and setting up 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling centers.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T accurately.
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Makino, Mitsubishi or similar controls.
• Solid inspection background with precision measurement tooling.

Qualifications Section – Needed:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Technical machining certificate a plus
• Minimum 3+ years of CNC machining experience in precision manufacturing or aerospace environments
• Strong experience operating and setting up multi-axis mills
• Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining centers
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T confidently
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Makino, Mitsubishi, or similar CNC controls
• Strong inspection background using precision measurement equipment
• Proven ability to machine tight-tolerance components with minimal scrap
• Strong troubleshooting skills for tooling, offsets, setups, and machine issues
• Detail-oriented with strong quality standards
