Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in North Cromwell, CT is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate and set up CNC Milling and Mill Turn machines to manufacture parts for Ripley Tools products.

You will inspect your own work with micrometers, calipers, height gage and optical comparator, read blueprints, and collaborate with engineering to support product development while upholding quality, lean practices and a safe, clean work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with CNC Milling and Mill Turn Machines.
• Ability to read, write English and do basic math.
• Physically able to lift 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC Milling and Mill Turn machines.
• Inspect own work using micrometers, calipers, height gage and optical comparator.
• Maintain quality and production standards.
• Perform secondary operations as required.
• Read blueprints.
• Work with engineering to support product development.

• Operate and Setup:
  • Manual Knee Mill
  • CNC Milling machines
• Inspect own work using various inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gage and optical comparator
• Maintain quality and production standards
• Perform secondary operations as required
• Read blueprints
• Work with engineering to support product development
• Incorporate lean practices into daily activities
• Participate on continuous improvement teams
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Willing to work overtime
