Job summary

J & J Energy Solutions in Morris, IL is seeking a skilled Machinist to operate and program CNC equipment and to work on manual machines to produce high-quality parts. The ideal candidate has Miltronics experience, is proficient in Fusion 360 CAM, can read blueprints, and works confidently in a fast-paced, hands-on shop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machining centers (Miltronics preferred)
• Proficiency in Fusion 360 CAM programming
• Experience with manual TRAK machines
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to pass a drug test

Responsibilities

• Show up on time and ready to work every day
• Set up and operate CNC machines (Miltronics)
• Program and generate toolpaths using Fusion 360 CAM
• Operate manual TRAK machines for custom and low-volume work
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and CAD models
• Adjust machine settings, tooling, and offsets as needed
• Order material for parts
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency
