Loughlin Manufacturing Corp is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our production team in New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining processes, delivering precision parts that meet tight specifications.

You will operate CNC milling machines and lathes, perform programming and CAM tasks, read blueprints with GD&T, and collaborate with engineering on design improvements. Safety and quality are our top priorities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with hands-on knowledge of machining processes.
• Proficiency in CNC programming languages (such as Fanuc) and CAM software.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with electrical discharge machining is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations related to machining tasks.
• Experience with tooling setups and adjustments for various machining operations.
• Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is advantageous.
• Forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes to manufacture parts according to engineering specifications.

• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, applying GD&T principles as necessary.
• Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
• Collaborate with engineering teams using SolidWorks and CAD software for design modifications and improvements.
• Implement lean manufacturing practices to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
• Assemble components as required, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
