Job description

CNC Mill Set-Up Machinist position open in Greenwood, SC with a manufacturer specializing in custom, engineer-to-order components made from metals like copper and aluminum. This is a 2nd shift position in a low-volume, high-mix production environment, ideal for someone who enjoys precision work, variety, and autonomy.

In this role, you'll be responsible for reading blueprints and engineering drawings, setting up CNC mills, loading programs, proving out first-run parts, and operating a CNC machine. You’ll adjust tooling and fixtures, verify tolerances with precision instruments, and troubleshoot issues to ensure parts meet quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines
• Strong blueprint reading and programming (G-codes & M-codes) skills
• Familiarity with copper, aluminum, or other industrial metals

Nice to Have:

• AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience
