Job summary

Morrison Container Handling Solutions, a leading container handling expert in the packaging industry, is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our busy production team and ensure safe, efficient operation of Mazak Lathes and Mills.

The role involves reviewing materials, prioritizing jobs with leads, and coordinating workflow to keep delivery schedules on track while maintaining quality workmanship. Strong blueprints reading skills and Mazak programming experience are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; CNC certifications are a plus.
• 3–5 years’ experience on CNC mills/lathes with setups and programming desirable.
• Mazak programming experience highly preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work physically demanding shifts.

Responsibilities

• Review BOMs, parts orders and blueprints to set daily priorities.
• Schedule workflows with leads to maximize efficiency and timeliness.
• Determine part features, finishes and tolerancing with engineering data.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy of features and tolerances.
• Maintain machinery with routine daily/weekly/monthly upkeep.
• Read emails and respond to machining job function communications.
