Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is hiring a CNC Machinist for Materials Labs to operate CNC mills and wire EDM, machine metallic test specimens, and inspect parts per drawings. You will support the lab, read GD&T symbols, and help maintain production equipment.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, working with precision tools, and collaborating with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment. Overtime and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience running CNC vertical milling centers or wire EDM.
• Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
• Proficient with precision measurement tools (dial indicators, micrometers, calipers).
• Willing to work overtime and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mill, CNC lathe, wire EDM, and related machine shop equipment.
• Support mechanical test lab with specimen machining and fixture repair.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Maintain and repair production machinery as needed.
