Job summary

Zing Recruiting in partnership with a prominent client in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a CNC Machinist to support their manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a highly skilled machinist with experience programming, setting up, tooling, and operating CNC equipment, as well as Wire EDM machinery.

You will read blueprints, verify dimensions, and work with Mastercam. This is a 2nd shift, direct hire opportunity with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Strong CNC programming experience.
• Hands-on experience with Mastercam.
• Experience with machine setups, tooling selection, offsets, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, feeds, and speeds.
• Experience with Wire EDM programming and operation.
• Experience with Charmilles EDM machines.
• Experience with Haas machining centers.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Tool and die, mold, prototype, or precision machining experience.
• Ability to work 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machining equipment.
• Create and modify programs using Mastercam.
• Set up tooling, fixtures, offsets, and work holding devices.
• Operate and troubleshoot Haas Machining Centers
• Program and operate Wire EDM equipment, preferably Charmilles machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.
• Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform machine adjustments to ensure product quality and process efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work collaboratively with Manufacturing Engineering and Production teams to improve processes and reduce downtime.
