Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Must be able to work quickly and with accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job specifications.
• Proficient in general math (including fractions and decimals).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technical drawings, sketches, and design data to determine machining requirements, including tools, speeds, and feeds.
• Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
• Use precision measuring tools to inspect parts during and after production.
• Adjust machine setup or tool offsets to produce parts to print specifications.
• Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure efficient and safe operation.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes.
• Maintain accurate production records, tooling setup sheets, and inspection documentation.
• Follow all safety protocols and quality standards in the manufacturing environment.
