Job summary

Dover Precision Components in Rock Island, IL is seeking a CNC Machinist for the second shift. You will set up and run CNC machines to machine castings, forgings, and bar stock, ensuring parts meet specifications.

Responsibilities include loading materials, verifying measurements with precision tools, and maintaining tool offsets while following safety policies and ERP processes. A high school diploma is required, with opportunity for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Maintains a positive attitude towards team members and the organization.
• Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines for turning, boring, facing and threading.
• Load materials such as bronze, stainless steel, and plastics up to 7 inches.
• Verify dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and CMM; document results.
• Load CNC programs and perform daily preventative maintenance.
• Maintain understanding of G and M codes and tool offsets.
