Job summary

Barrett Firearms, based in Tennessee, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. You will independently set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components that meet exact specifications and quality standards.

You will read blueprints, apply GD&T, adjust offsets, follow safety protocols, and participate in training for skill development. The ideal candidate has vocational training and 1–3 years of CNC experience with a strong quality

Qualifications

• Completion of a vocational or technical program in machining or a related field.
• 1–3 years of CNC machining experience, preferably in a production environment.
• Advanced knowledge of CNC machining principles, setup, and operation.
• Strong understanding of GD&T.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• The ability to setup and operate CNC mills and lathes independently.


• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and inspection instructions.


• Apply advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) in machining and inspections.


• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.


• The ability to make tool and work offset changes when needed to produce conforming parts.


• Actively participate in training programs for skill development and career advancement.


• All other duties as directed.

About You

You’re a hands-on, detail-oriented machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality, precise parts. You enjoy working independently to set up and run CNC equipment and have a strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and quality requirements. Safety, accuracy, and craftsmanship are second nature to you, and you’re always looking for ways to improve efficiency and maintain the highest standards on the shop floor.
