Hubbell Incorporated in Shelton, CT, is seeking a skilled Lathe/Mill Turn operator to manufacture parts for Ripley Tools Products. You will set up and operate CNC/turning machines, read blueprints, and work to strict quality standards.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of lathe/mill turn operation and setup experience.
  • Ability to read and write English and perform basic math.
  • Physically able to lift 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up lathe, mill, and turning machines.
  • Inspect own work with micrometers, calipers, height gage, and optical comparator.
  • Read blueprints and apply lean practices.

A Day In The Life
  • Operate and Setup Lathe Mill Turn Machines.
  • Inspect own work using various inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gage and optical comparator
  • Maintain quality and production standards
  • Perform secondary operations as required
  • Read blueprints
  • Incorporate lean practices into daily activities
  • Participate on continuous improvement teams
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • Willing to work overtime
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
