Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated, headquartered in Shelton, CT, is seeking a machinist to operate and set up lathe/mill turn machines and ensure quality across production. You will inspect your work with precision tools and support lean practices on a daily basis, contributing to safe, efficient manufacturing.

The role requires 2+ years of lathe/mill setup experience, basic math, and good English. Expect involvement in continuous improvement teams and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 year of Lathe Mill turn operation and set up experience required.
  • Ability to read, write English and do basic math.
  • Physically able to lift 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and Setup Lathe Mill Turn Machines.
  • Inspect own work using micrometers, calipers, height gauge and optical comparator.
  • Maintain quality and production standards.
  • Perform secondary operations as required.
  • Incorporate lean practices into daily activities.
  • Participate on continuous improvement teams.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Willing to work overtime.

  • Operate and Setup Lathe Mill Turn Machines.
  • Inspect own work using various inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gage and optical comparator
  • Maintain quality and production standards
  • Perform secondary operations as required
  • Incorporate lean practices into daily activities
  • Participate on continuous improvement teams
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • Willing to work overtime
