Job summary

Zaddy Solutions is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist for a direct-hire position in our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will set up and operate CNC lathe equipment, including Nakamura machines, and work from blueprints, instructions, and technical drawings.

You will select tooling, adjust feeds and speeds, perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, and support operators while maintaining a clean, safe work area and adhering to Lean Enterprise principles.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of CNC machine setup experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing instructions.
• Experience with Nakamura equipment preferred.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of machining feeds and speeds.
• Proficient with inspection tools and gauges.
• Ability to work independently while supporting department operators.
• Understanding of Lean Enterprise principles and tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe equipment, including Nakamura machines.
• Work independently from blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Select, change, and set tooling as required.
• Determine and adjust feeds and speeds.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
• Properly use measuring and gauging equipment.
• Ensure the quality of all products produced on assigned machines.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues.
• Train and monitor operators within the department.
• Perform required 5S activities and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Conduct line walks in the lathe area as directed by the supervisor.
• Follow all safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

The ideal candidate can interpret technical drawings and work instructions, select and set tooling, perform inspections, troubleshoot machining issues, and support operators within the CNC Lathe Department.
