Jobot in Sidney, Ohio is seeking an Overnight CNC Set-Up Machinist for aerospace precision manufacturing. You will set up and operate multi-axis CNC turning and milling machines, read blueprints and GD&T, and perform first article and in-process inspections.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 4pm-4:30am Sunday-Thursday Schedule.
• Minimum 3-5 years of CNC multi-axis turning or milling experience including full set-up and troubleshooting.
• Experience in aerospace or precision component manufacturing preferred.
• Strong background in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Proven ability to independently set up and run complex machining jobs.
• Experience performing first article and in-process inspections.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for production documentation.
• Lean Manufacturing experience a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC turning and/or milling machines with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and operation sheets, including GD&T.
• Perform first piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and dial gauges.
• Hold tight tolerances in complex precision machining environments.
• Document inspection results and job data within the ERP system.
• Follow all quality procedures related to machine setup, inspection, documentation, and material handling.
• Troubleshoot machining processes and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
