Precision Fuzing and Sensors in Middletown, CT is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist III (2nd Shift). The role emphasizes blueprint reading, setting up and operating CNC milling equipment, and performing in-process inspection to ensure tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and interpreting specifications.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC milling machines with tight tolerances.
• Proficient in in-process inspection and use of measuring tools.
• Capable of editing machine programs and selecting feeds/speeds.
• Prioritize quality and apply Lean Manufacturing practices.
• OAP certification to inspect own work is preferred.
• Physically capable of lifting 25–60 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work under Group Leader or Supervisor with limited supervision.
• Specify tolerances and finish specifications for diversified machining.
• Calibrate and modify sequences to adjust speed and cut frequency.
• Set up programming for machining sequences and tool selection.
• Operate, edit, and adjust CNC and manual machines.
• Inspect own work using gauges and inspection equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety rules.
• Assist in training new employees and report issues to supervisor.
