Job summary

Precision Fuzing and Sensors in Middletown, CT is seeking a General Machinist III with experience reading blueprints, setting up CNC and manual machines, and performing in-process inspection. The role requires tight tolerances and a strong background in milling, lathe, drill press, and hand screw machines.

You will work under supervision, assist in training new employees, and contribute to safety and 5S/Lean practices. Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday 2:45–11:15 p.m. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 4–8 years of related machining experience.
• Experience reading blueprints and setting up CNC/manual machines.
• Ability to perform in-process inspection with precision tolerances.
• Familiarity with 5S and Lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision to specify tolerances and finish specifications for diversified machining operations.
• Employ 5S and Lean manufacturing practices in daily work.
• Use blueprints, schematics, and shop directions to obtain contours and dimensions.
• Calibrate and modify sequences to adjust speeds and cuts.
• Set up programming to perform machining sequences and operate CNC/manual machines.
• Inspect own work with gages and inspection equipment to maintain quality.
