Job summary

Jobot seeks a CNC Machinist Lead to oversee mill, lathe and conventional machining in a high-precision aerospace shop in Pasadena. You’ll interpret travelers, set up tooling, and lead a team delivering parts to exact tolerances.

You are experienced with exotic materials, tight tolerances, and continuous improvement, and you’ll collaborate with engineering to ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading in an aerospace machine shop.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• Skilled in CNC setup and conventional machining.
• Experience with exotic materials and tight tolerances.
• Strong math, detail orientation, and organizational ability.

Responsibilities

• Interpret travelers and select tooling and machine setups for each project.
• Operate CNC mills and lathes, as well as conventional mills and lathes.
• Perform precision machining on close-tolerance parts (± 0.001, ±0.0005).
• Handle raw metal preparation, sanding, deburring, and inventory control.
• Use precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and angle grinders.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety standards in a fast-paced aerospace shop.

What You’ll Do:
