Job summary

Bryant in Madison, WI is seeking an experienced CNC operator to join our manufacturing team. You will read engineering drawings, program Mazatrol controlled lathes/mills, and ensure parts meet quality standards while maintaining a safe, clean work area.

The role requires the ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 40 pounds, and communicate effectively with team members to optimize run times and keep production on schedule.

Qualifications

• Mazatrol programming knowledge required.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and communicate effectively.
• Ability to accurately use measuring devices and adjust as needed.
• Attention to detail to ensure compliance with standards.
• Computer knowledge for data entry and reporting.
• Must be able to walk/stand throughout shift and lift 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform all responsibilities with adherence to company policy.
• Inspect and measure parts to ensure quality standards are met.
• Read engineering documents such as prints, routing, and process instructions.
• Operate CNC lathes and mills, set up and program Mazatrol.
• Proper handling of measurement tools and calibration as needed.
• Perform side operations (e.g., deburring) while CNC is running.
• Maintain equipment in good operating condition.
• Report discrepancies in job route times promptly.
• Fill out scrap reports and maintain a clean work area.
• Maintain good attendance and perform other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

• Safely perform all responsibilities with adherence to company policy
• Inspect and measure parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Read engineering documents such as prints, routing, and process instructions
• Demonstrate ability to operate CNC lathes, mills, set-up and program
• Proper handling of measurement tools
• Perform side operations as required while CNC is running (e.g. deburring)
• Maintain all equipment in good operating condition
• Report discrepancies in job route times as soon as they are identified
• Fill out scrap report
• Maintain safe and clean work area
• Must have good attendance
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understanding of Mazatrol programming
• Ability to read drawings and effectively communicate
• Ability to accurately use measuring devices, operate equipment and make adjustments as needed
• Attention to detail with a capacity to evaluate information to determine compliance with standards
• Computer knowledge
• Walk and stand for entire shift
• Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted
